My quest to learn how to deal with life's issues. Rejection. Love. Depression. Anger. Confusion. Desires. Brought me to writing these quotes and poems. Speaking to myself has given me a way to deal with what I held in searching for answers to these feelings. Sometimes we hold on to the beauty of our thoughts and feelings and we are afraid to release them. Learn how to let go of the fear of others not understanding how you feel about certain things.

This is not a book, this is the food to fuel the energy to kick off the exodus. This is not a book, this is energy. This is love, wisdom, knowledge, history, healing, power, courage, and everything more manifested in the form of a book so the naked eye can digest and understand it. Make no mistake, this is no book. It’s filled with 25 affirming poems, accompanied with 25 iconic Black Women in history throughout the entire African Diaspora. It’s time we unite. It’s time we join hands. It’s time we lock arms. A nation can rise no higher than its women, and it’s time for us to help Black women fly through the ceiling.

A story in verse about learning to love one's self while loving others. A poetry anthology woven together with the emotional strain of polyamory, the self-doubt, pain, no-way-out frustration, and desire of loving openly, the elation of shared experience, and sobering reflections on love's initiation point at the core of self.

My first collection of poetry focuses on love and how it correlates to life. Though the poems may sound as if they were written by a love-stricken teen, their meanings lie deeper and relate to people of all ages.

Personal poetry spanning almost 4 decades--covering topics like murder, suicide, adoption, child loss, grief, love, renewal, healing and redemption. Mostly a project for friends/relatives...not really a commercial project....so any other sales are just a bonus :-) Most of the photography is mine, and I retain all rights...the rest is in the public domain.

Written in the wake of a family tragedy, Flowers for Alex presents the first year of grief following the murder of Stotts' brother, Alex Oyombe Gradin, by gun violence. Through a diary-like, chronological record, Stotts explores the cycles of death and rebirth, not only in physical death, but in all of life's joys and heartbreaks - in love, break ups, mental health struggles, a global pandemic, spiritual growth, and in the expansion of consciousness.
